Bessie Divine Peterson was born, March 25, 1934 near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was surrounded by her family at home Anderson, Missouri, when she left this life for a much better one on July 26, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Loftis Laizure and George Laizure; a daughter, Jessie Ann Hatfield; and 3 grandsons.
Our precious mother is survived by children: Margareta and James Young of Seligman, Missouri; Barbara and Truman Evans of Pineville, Missouri; Roberta and Daniel Benningfield of Mounds, Oklahoma; Johnny and Denise Divine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ranee and Harvey Schlessman of Kansas City, Missouri. Also 36 grandchildren, 64 great grand children, and 31 great great grandchildren.
She was very accomplished in paperhanging and upholstery work, which were her professional trades until retirement. Bessie was a very special mother, most importantly a child of GOD, redeemed by Jesus Christ. She never knew a stranger and always had a smile for everyone.
On Saturday, August 22, 2020 we will have a "Celebration of Life" in the Life Center at Banner Church located at 597 NorthFork Road, Anderson, Missouri. There will be a short memorial beginning at 1:30 p.m. and come and go visitation with friends and family immediately following until 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at New Bethel Cemetery.
