Doris Veronica “Mangan” Pugh, 94, passed away July 17, 2020 at her home in Carthage. Doris was born January 7, 1926 in Cherryvale, KS to James and Hazel “Kort” Mangan. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and retired from Schreiber Foods in 1989 after 21 years. She also volunteered at the Sunshine Thrift Store, then purchased it in 2001 and renamed it Sunlight Thrift Store.
Doris was united in marriage to Herman M. Pugh in 1945 in Henrietta, OK; he preceded her in death on May 28, 1992.
Doris is survived by four sons, Tony Pugh, Victor Pugh, Tonk Pugh (Cheryl) and Kris Pugh, all of Carthage, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by one son, Kirk Pugh on December 5, 2015; three brothers, John, Jim and Mike Mangan; two sisters, Thelma Kruger and Pat Robnett.
Graveside services will begin with the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Park Cemetery with the service to follow.
