Hallie Charles Schoonover, Fairview, MO entered into rest July 23, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born August 28, 1942 in Holly, CO to Vera (Cochran) and O.J. Schoonover.
Hallie and Linda (Morgan) Schoonover were married September 23, 1982 in Miami, OK; Linda survives of the home.
From a young age, Hallie loved working on cars and racing stock cars. Later in life, he worked on restoring old cars and one of his greatest accomplishments was having a car featured in the Barrett-Jackson Auction.
Hallie is survived by his wife; his children, Ben Schoonover and wife, Connie of Dodge City, KS, Melinda Odom and husband, Brian of Forsyth, MO, and his very close friend who was like a daughter, Lori Poorboy and husband, Shaw of Pryor, OK; two brothers, Roger Schoonover of Stark City, MO and Lynn Schoonover of Dunlap, TN; one sister, Mary Ann Murphy and husband, David of Diamond, MO; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Hesslen; grandson, Trevor Roth; two sisters, Marge Brown and Loris Hamilton; and one brother, Frank Schoonover.
Graveside memorial services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Dice Cemetery, Fairview, MO with Pastor Tony Intessimone officiating.
Hallie was deeply loved by his family, friends, and extended family and he will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Hospice Compassus for their loving care, both toward Hallie and the family.
