Julie Ann Neuendorf, 49, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2020, at her home.
Julie was born on December 18, 1970, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Guy Van Geothem and Stephanie Fania. She attended schools in Batavia, Illinois. Julie married Adrian Neuendorf and together they had four children, Devin, Dillon, Amy and Anna.
Julie worked as a server and bartender for Olive Garden for over 25 years. She loved the water and always enjoyed going on summer float trips. Julie was a free spirit who also loved to dance. While she couldn’t always overcome her battles, her heart was good and she loved her family. Julie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Julie was preceded in death by her biological father, Guy Van Goethem.
Survivors include her husband, Adrian, of Joplin; four children, Devin, Dillon, Amy and Anna Neuendorf, all of Joplin; her mother, Stephanie Fania, of Chicago, Illinois; her sister, Vanessa Fania, also of Chicago; her father, George Carey, of Joplin; two nieces, Allison Bush and Nicole Wijs; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
