Bill Beauchamp

Bill Beauchamp departed this life peacefully on July 15, 2020, with family around him. He was a devout Christian and attended the Blessed Hope Church in Goodman. Pallbearers are Gary and Nathan Clemons, Scott and Ross Lay, Larry Stites, and Keith Honeyman. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Howard Cemetery, Goodman, Missouri, with Rev. Brian Lester and Duane Garren officiating.

Bill was born in Spaulding, Illinois, May 30, 1937, to parents Edgar and Marie (Stone) Beauchamp. Bill was married first to Donna McCubbin. Three children were born to this union; Michelle (Beauchamp) Clemons, Karen Beauchamp, and Clinton Beauchamp. He later moved to this area April 7, 1977.

Bill attended technical school at DeVry Institute in Chicago. He was a mechanic by trade both in Illinois and Missouri for many years. Bill was a Representative of Ozark National Life and Pioneer Mutual Fund Investments for 10 years. He became a rancher and enjoyed spending time with his cattle. Bill was proud of the fact that he started one of the few herds of Beefmasters in McDonald County.

Bill married Dorothy (Shields) Honeyman August 22, 1980, at the closing night of the New Bethel Crusade, in Anderson; with Rev. Brian Lester officiating. They made their home in Goodman. Bill and Dorothy enjoyed 40 years together. Their favorite pass-times included promoting The McDonald County Historical Society activities and attending gospel singings in the area.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his son Clinton, siblings Aaron and Kenneth Beauchamp, Louise (Walt) Hensley and Virginia (Roy) Neff, all of Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, one brother, Tom (Marilyn) Beauchamp, one sister, Beverly (Paul) Black both of Illinois; two daughters, Michelle (Gary) Clemons, Joplin, and Karen Beauchamp, Monett; Dorothy's children Marla Raylene (Fred) Lamb, Arkansas, and Keith Honeyman, Goodman; special friends Annette and Scott Lay. Grandchildren are Michael, Andrew, Christopher, Nathan Clemons, Michelle Cargile, Zachary (Abigail) Calton, LaTicia (Travis) Mooney, Kristin (Kenneth) King, Amanda (Tim) Miller, Ashley (Thomas) Ludwick, Brandon (Kim) Lay, Casaundra (Kevin) Seymour, Ross Lay, and 24 great grandchildren. 







Arrangements are under direction of Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson. Donations can be made to the McDonald County Historical Society in lieu of flowers.
