Sharyn Kaye Wilkerson, 75, went to Heaven on Friday, July 17, 2020 surrounded by her family. Sharyn was born March 31, 1945 in Carthage to Guy and Maxine “Thompson” Blackwood.
Although she was born and raised in Carthage, she spent several years in Oklahoma, but returned to Carthage approximately 35 years ago. Sharyn was a homemaker and was a supervisor at Precious Moments Gift Shop for 20+ years, but her number one job was grandma.
Sharyn was united in marriage to Bill Wilkerson on August 19, 1969 in Tulsa, OK, who survives at the home.
Sharyn is also survived by two sons Schuyler “Ski” Mariea (Sherry) of Jefferson City and Michael “Mike” Wilkerson (Emily) of Claremore, OK; two daughters, Tracy Ann Klink (Kevin) of Joplin and Melissa “Missy” Veney (Ken) of St. Johns, FL; one brother, Tom Blackwood (Jana) of Carthage; 11 grandchildren, Bailey, Logann, Breann, Ty, Emma, Olivia, Tyler, Joseph, Stephen, Austin and Makayla, along with five great grandchildren.
Sharyn was proceeded in death by her brother, Jack Blackwood and grandson, Zach Klink.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
