Max Wesley Tubbs, age 82, Joplin, passed away at 10:09 a.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home after an illness.
Max was born July 25, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Max Harlan Tubbs and Katherine Washam Tubbs and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
A graduate of Joplin High School, Max worked as a graphic artist at Jackson Printing, Carthage, Dixie Printing in Joplin and managed the print shop at C.F.I., retiring in 2005.
He married Caroline Kay Jenkins in Joplin. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Trenton Tubbs and wife, Holly Maloney, a daughter, Cecily Tubbs; three grandchildren, Finlay Maloney-Tubbs, Milo Maloney-Tubbs, Leela Maloney-Tubbs; a sister, Shirley Winward and husband, David; and two nephews, Kyle Winward and Aaron Winward.
Max has been taken for cremation. No formal services are planned.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
