Betty Joanne Hawkins, 69, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin.
Joanne was born October 12, 1950, in Monett, Missouri, to the union of Ralph and Helen (Willis) Gasche. Joanne worked as a dedicated homemaker, raising her eight children. Her true role in life was to be a loving mother and she exceeded every expectation.
Joanne loved to read and work crossword puzzles. She was creative and displayed her artistic abilities in sewing and cross-stitching. Joanne could often be found outdoors doing yardwork – something she never considered a chore, but loved to do. She found joy in flowers, working in her gardens and collecting rocks. Joanne was the best mother and loved her children unconditionally. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; four children, Bobby Mitchell, Tad Little, Travis Little and Jackie Little; and a precious granddaughter, Keisha Little, daughter of Travis.
She is survived by four children, Desaray Green and husband, Michael, of Joplin, Amber Earleywine and husband, Chad, of Joplin, Brandy Little of Webb City and David Little and husband, Sagan, of Joplin; nine grandchildren, Christopher Green and wife, Kenna, Travis Green and wife, Taylor, Tommy Sallee and girlfriend, Alexis, Chloe Moore, Alyssa Moore, Nate Moore, Logan Walker, Dawson Little and Emmett Little; three great-grandchildren, Blake Green, Oliver Sallee and one on the way; a brother, Mike Gasche; a daughter-in-law, Sara Gregory; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
No formal services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
