David was born February 19, 1944 in Joplin to the late Clova DeMasters and Mary Fergerson DeMasters and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.
David worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 36 years. He then obtained his CDL and drove for Beaver Express for several years.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Maxine, who passed away in 2014; and two siblings, Clay DeMasters and Marshall DeMasters.
Survivors include his children, Carol Ann Edge, Sherry Warner, Debby McGinnis, Kelly Etheridge and husband, Ray, Darren Simpson; sister, Shirley Cross and husband, Kenneth, Joplin; grandchildren, Greg McGinnis, Stephanie Whitaker Hooks, Crystal Endicott, Alicia Gilbert, Christopher Loftis, Steven Loftis, David Simpson, Michelle Simpson; ten great grandchildren; and several extended family members.
David has been taken for cremation. Graveside services are being planned at Calton Cemetery, Monett, Missouri.
