(From Parker Mortuary)Bryan Richard Messner, 39, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2020.
Bryan was born July 15, 1981, in Joplin, Missouri, to Timothy Messner and Terri Johnson. He attended Joplin Schools. Following school, Bryan began working in the construction field, an industry he was very talented in due to his creativity, and he worked various building jobs throughout his life. Bryan was a simple man who loved the outdoors and spent much of his free time hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, having bonfires and listening to country music. He loved to stay busy and was always tinkering with something. Above all, he loved his children.
Bryan knew the Lord and attended Joplin Full Gospel Church. He also had a heart for people; he was kind, accepting and loved everyone for who they were. He truly had a heart of gold and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Malachi Messner, and his uncle, Tom Messner.
Survivors include his children, Maggie Messner and her mother, Mandi Gilstrap, of Joplin, Maximus Messner and Sadie Messner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his bonus son, Kaleb Gillette, of Broken Arrow; his mother, Terri Greenfeather (Jerry) of Joplin; his father, Tim Messner, of Oronogo; three sisters, Toni Anderson (James) of Webb City, Tomi West (Martin) of Broken Arrow, and Katelynn Messner of the State of Texas; grandparents, Doris Sill of Joplin and Jack and Theba Messner of Joplin; nieces and nephews, Mauree, Ian, Justin, Maya, Paige, Aliyah, Tatum and Owen; the mother of Max, Sadie and Kaleb, Amber Bible; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Joplin Full Gospel Church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
