Patricia Henry

Patricia Ellen Henry, age 84, of Hoberg, Missouri, passed away at 5:11 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born February 15, 1936, in La Russell, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Nina (Wooten) Chastain.

Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Miller High School, in Miller, Missouri and attended Kansas City Bible College, now Calvary University. 

She was a loving wife and mother, homemaker, cook, and excellent seamstress. She ran a childcare business in her own home, and she loved every child she cared for like her own and kept up with them her entire life. She had a special bond with her grandchildren who consumed her life.








She was a member of Prairie Flower Bible Church in Webb City, Missouri.

On October 8, 1957, she married Richard Lee Henry, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2007.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Juli Ellen DeNisco and her husband, Paul, and Joni Elaine Henry, all of Joplin; one son, Richard Lee Henry II and his wife Laura, of Strafford, Missouri; eight grandchildren Sarah Phillips-Henry, Michelle DeNisco-Fodge, Jeannette DeNisco, Melissa Paquette (DeNisco), F. Clint DeNisco, Meredith DeNisco, Alicia Hitchcock, and Mark Trivitt; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Harriet Seneker, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nina, her stepfather, Charles Foust, her husband, Richard, one brother, James R. Chastain and one sister, Bonnie Lee Chastain.

A visitation under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Moore Cemetery in Stotts City, Missouri.
