(From Knell Mortuary)Lois Edith Templeton, 94, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital, Carthage. Lois was born November 26, 1926 in Hulett, Minnesota, the daughter of Glen B. VanWey and Edith E. (Lown) VanWey.
She married William H. Templeton on August 8, 1945. Lois worked as a nurse’s aide for McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and was a very devoted Christian that loved attending church.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Fisher (Carl), Oologah, Oklahoma; two sons, Billie Templeton (Judy), Carthage, and Jerry Templeton (Marsha), Webb City, Missouri; a son-in-law, David Carver, Webb City, Missouri; a brother, Charles VanWey, Carthage; a sister, Florence Still, Carthage; twelve grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Templeton; a daughter, Carol Carver; a brother, Everett VanWey; and three sisters, Rosie Harbison, Viola Peoples, and Wanda VanWey.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10 am, Monday, March 8, 2021 at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
