Betty Carter

Betty Doris Carter, 88, Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at her home. Betty was born January 21, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of the late Mervin L. Davis and Doris (Grigg) Davis. 

She was a graduate of Carthage High School. Betty then received her Master's degree plus thirty graduate hours from Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma. 


She married Charles Rex Conner on July 16, 1959, and to this union two children were born; he preceded her in death on February 10, 1967. She then married Glen M. Carter on August 25, 1984; he preceded her in death on January 9, 2005. 








Betty was a schoolteacher in the Carthage, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri areas. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene. She loved to travel throughout the United States, and around the world. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Survivors include her children, Jeff Conner (Latisa), Rogers, Arkansas, Brad Conner (Vicki), Fountain Hills, Arizona, Galen Carter (Connie), Carthage, Missouri, Duane Carter (Lynn), Garfield, Arkansas, and Michael Carter, Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, Eric Conner (Danielle), Henderson, Nevada, and Doug Conner (Sydney), Chicago, Illinois, Joshua Carter (Nicole), Carthage\, Missouri, Ashley Moulton (Sean), Boston, Massachusetts, Alex Carter (Michelle), Dallas, Texas, Zach Carter (Misty) Nashville, Tennessee, Gabe Carter, Bella Vista, Arkansas; great- grandchidren, Warren Conner, Lucas Carter, Aubrey Carter, Bridget Carter, Rowan Moulton, Megan Carter, Max Carter, Logan Carter, Lorelei Carter, Adeline Carter and Amelia Carter.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, M.L. Davis.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Dudman Cemetery, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
