(From Parker Mortuary)Connie Patton, age 70, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family.
Connie, daughter of the late Grover and Connie (Wallace) Renfro, was born on August 23, 1950 in Joplin. She attended school and grew up in Joplin.
On October 4, 1969 she was united in marriage to William Patton in Neosho, MO. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2012.
Connie was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 39 years. She began her career at the Oak Hill Hospital which then became Freeman East. Her caring heart extended from nursing to helping anyone in need. She was always ready and willing to help family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Katie Ellison, and her husband, Mike, of Neosho; great-nephews, Kendall Moore and Marcus Taylor, both of Joplin; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Grover Renfro, and one sister, Dora Morris.
Graveside committal of ashes will be held at the New Salem Cemetery in Neosho on April 10, 2021 at 10:30 am.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
