(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Christina Diane Powell, age 55, passed away at 5:01 pm, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, Florida following an illness.
Christina was born December 2, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA. Her parents were Paul and Minnie (Phillips) Avicola. She had lived at Leesburg, FL the past 1 ½ years moving from Galena where she had lived most of her life.
She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1984. She used to work as an inspector at Quality Interconnect Systems in Galena.
Surviving is one son, Coy Powell (April), Webb City, MO; one daughter, Lacey Powell (Justin Merrill), Galena, KS; four grandchildren, Macey Marie Diane Eubanks, Kaycie Dawn Johnson, Kaiden Lee Winstead, and Avery Cleo Winstead; her father, Paul Avicola (Mary Ann), Leesburg, FL; two brothers, Curtis Avicola (Teresa), Lowell, KS and Daniel Avicola (Kathy), Greers Ferry AR; four nieces and nephews, Kassie Avicola, Korie Avicola, Michael Avicola and Becky Avicola.
Her mother preceded her in death.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS to arrange for her cremation. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
