Keith Smith

Keith Wayne Smith, age 49, Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Mercy of Springfield.

Keith was born March 14, 1971 in Tucson, Arizona to the late Roy Smith and Barbara (Ford) Sparks. 

He grew up in Russell and Gorham, Kansas, and graduated from high school before serving in the United States Army, and transferring to the United States Marine Corps. He worked for the past 20 years in IT, and enjoyed working with new software programming.

Keith loved working on hot rods and had a small model car/plane collection. He also was a huge Denver Broncos and Atlanta Braves fan. He was best remembered for his story telling, even though he often repeated them, he always used such a passion telling the story. He will be greatly missed by his family, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Windy Cox.

Survivors include his children, Schon Smith and wife, Rebekah, of Buckeye, Arizona, Chase Smith of San Diego, California, daughter, Laikyn Smith of Grove, OK; fiancé, Katie Short of the home; and several other extended family and many friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
