Norene Van Sickle

Norene J Van Sickle, 66, departed this life on March 17th, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family in Pineville, Missouri.

Norene was born to the late Don and Norma Wagner on October 23rd, 1954 in Orwell, Ohio.

Norene was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the outdoors, taking long walks through the woods looking for birds of all kinds. She especially enjoyed hummingbirds and cardinals.








She had a variety of jobs. Her hobbies included painting with oil, acrylic and even pastels. Norene was an avid reader. She was great cook with one of her specialties being homemade chili and corn bread. She was an animal lover having dogs, cats and even lambs who she sometimes had to bottle feed.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Van Sickle of the home, son Robert Westgate and wife Christie of Anderson, Missouri. Daughters, Jennifer Sanders and husband, Lee of Southwest City, Missouri, Savannah Ellis and husband, Matt of Sparks, Nevada and Andrea Freitas and husband Kyle of Carson City, Nevada, three grandchildren, Ashlie Westgate of Anderson, Missouri, Bryce Westgate of Fort Carson, Colorado and Cayden Westgate of Anderson, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends that will dearly miss her.

To honor her wishes, her ashes will be buried by her loving family during a road trip to the Rocky and Sierra Nevada mountains.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memory of Norene.
