(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Peggy Sue Smith, 60, of Little Kansas, Oklahoma, departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, while at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
Peggy entered this life on May 23, 1960, in Fairland, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Samuel David and Iva Jean (Burleson) Barton. She was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte, Oklahoma and Southwest City, Missouri.
Besides being a homemaker, Peggy also worked at Tyson Foods and was a certified CMA. She enjoyed fishing and was a wonderful caregiver for her mother.
Peggy is survived by her husband of forty-five years, David Smith of Jay, Oklahoma; two daughters, Pam Ziegenfuss and Melissa Smith both of Jay, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, David Barton of Southwest City, Claude Barton of Noel and Mark Barton of Jay, Oklahoma; a sister, Karma Turner of Little Kansas, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Saratoga Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri, with Pastor Darin Robins officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are David Smith, Melissa Smith, David Barton, Sarah Smith, Claude Barton, Chad Barton, Bubba Turner and Darrell Turner.
