Ron Ostrander

(From Benton County Funeral Home)

Ronald James Ostrander, 79, formerly from Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday March 28, 2023, at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Ronnie was born on November 28, 1943, to James Edward "Okie" Ostrander and Jean Eloise Ostrander in Austin, Minnesota. Ronnie attended Rison High School. He then moved to Rogers, Arkansas where he was a machinist and best known for being a motor man. Ronnie could work on about any kind of motor. He retired from Wal-Mart where he was in maintenance.

He loved to race Go-Carts; he made numerous friends during his 25 plus years of racing Go-Carts all over the states. After he quit racing so much, he worked on lawnmowers and small engines, but you would still see him out there helping a fellow racer with their Cart or anyone else that needed help.

Ronnie was preceded by his parents, his brothers Les Conway, Pat Conway and Johnny Vann. He is survived by his daughter Karen Singleton and his "son" Ron Singleton, his sisters Sharon, Trisha (Dale), Mary and Melanie (David), his grand-daughter Brandy Garling (Darron), six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his best friends Roland and Rowina Stroman. Lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. Of course, we can't leave out his grand dogs Gunny and Abigail.

Ronnie spent the last ten years of his life living next to his daughter and son-in-law. When his illness took over, he never left his residence. Karen and Ron loved him and took care of his needs.

We know he is no longer in pain and his demons no longer control him. He fought hard at the end and gave it his all. He will be greatly missed but he is now a shining light and resting with Jesus. Thank you daddy for loving me, save a dance for me...Karen
