(From Parker Mortuary)James Avery DePreste, age 61 of Joplin, Missouri passed peacefully with family by his side on Friday, April 21, 2023 at his home. James was born on May 22, 1961 in Livermore, California to the late Paul DePreste, Sr. and Evelyn Hook DePreste.
He grew up and has live most of his life in Joplin, owning his own auto detailing business, Bumper-To-Bumper Auto Detail.
In his free time, you could find James outdoors hunting, fishing, looking for arrowheads or watching the cars on the racetrack. He loved his girls and grandkids and cherished many years together with his wife, Pam.
Survivors include his wife, Pam DePreste of Duenweg; daughters, Rianna DePreste of Webb City and Alisha DePreste of Joplin; brother, Brian K. DePreste, Sr. and wife, Donita of Springfield, Missouri; sisters, Vicki DePreste of Fresno, California and Joyce DePreste of Joplin; 3 grandchildren, Amoura DePreste, Alexis Russell and Lydia Hollingsworth; many extended family and special friends.

Other than his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers, Paul DePreste, Jr. and Morris DePreste.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date at the Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Miller, Missouri.
