(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Nellie Ann Cramer went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, at Silver Creek Assisted Living Center in Joplin, MO at the age of 91. She was a long time member of Fellowship Baptist in Baxter Springs, KS.
Nellie was born on May 13th, 1931 to be the union of Ray and Leota Harris in Seneca, MO. She was raised in Peoria, OK where she worked hard on her family farm with her siblings.
On July 5th, 1949, she married Joseph Cramer in Bentonville, AR (who preceded her in death in 2007). To their union came Connie Anne Chenoweth (husband Kenney) Joplin, MO. Debbie Steele (husband Ron) Riverton, KS. Mike Cramer, Mesa, Arizona.
Nellie worked many jobs in her lifetime but her favorite was being a labor and delivery nurse’s aid at Baxter Memorial Hospital. What she enjoyed most was being a mama, grandma, great grandma, and gardening.
Nellie is preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Draper. Brothers, Warren, Walter, Claude, Charlie and Frank Harris. Surviving family members: Ruby Dado of Kansas City, MO. Jack Harris (wife Shirley) Baxter Springs, KS. Grandchildren: Mistee Underhill (husband Dale), Leslie Weston (husband Craig), Andy Harris (wife Betsy), Colby and Rainn Cramer. Great grand children: Tyler Underhill (wife Jenna), Chandler Underhill (fiancé Rhonny), Jade Weston, Abbey Underhill, and Lilly Weston. Great great grandchildren: Kamden and Kolson Underhill, Aspen and baby boy to be born this September. Also, many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Ron Steele, Kenney Chenoweth, Dale Underhill, Tyler Underhill, Chandler Underhill, Craig Weston, Jade Weston , and Colby Cramer. Honorary pallbearer, Andy Harris
