(From Clark Funeral Home)Laurel Ralph Cope was born January 5, 1933, in Neosho, Missouri, one of four sons to Forrest and Marie (Goodson) Cope. He entered into rest at his home in Neosho on April 11, 2023, at the age of 90.
Ralph was a graduate of Neosho High School and of Abilene Christian College. He served in the U.S. Army.
Ralph owned and operated Town and Country Furniture and Carpet in Neosho and later owned Eye Spy Monitors. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ, currently a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder, song leader and participated in mission trips.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Lia of the home; three children, Laura (Andy) Langham of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Julia (Tim) Togami of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Eric (Geri) Cope of Kirkwood, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Nichole, Gabrielle, Carissa, Benny, Everlie, Delaney and Daniel; three great grandchildren, Sadie, Barrett and Zachary.
In addition, he is survived by a brother, Glenn (Barbara) Cope of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Anne Cope and Marcia Cope of Neosho and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Cope and Don Cope.
The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 3:30 to 5 pm at the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ, Neosho, Missouri.
