Mary Gericke

Mrs. Mary Jane (Kisling) Gericke, 86, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Mary was born on Thursday, April 15, 1937 in rural Newton County, Missouri, to the union of the late Fred and Daisy (Franks) Kisling. Mary was a lifelong area resident. 

On November 8, 1969 she was united in marriage to Wayne Francis Gericke, together they shared forty-three years until his passing on May 29, 2013. 








For years Mary worked for Juvenile Shoe, Justin Boot and Schreiber Foods. Mary was a very loyal and dedicated employee. She was a member of the Church of Gods Grace in Sarcoxie. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, her flower beds, and crocheting, as well as spending time with her family and friends. Mary will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; grandson, Tyrell Pack; granddaughter, Jennifer Kraichely and great-grandson, Isaiah Wiggin.

Mary is survived by her children, Chesley Mootrey and wife, Kim of Diamond, Belinda Pack, of Sarcoxie, Shelia Corum and husband, Bill of Sarcoxie and DeAnn Kraichely, of Springfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.








Funeral services for Mrs. Gericke are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Church of Gods Grace in Sarcoxie, with Pastor James Yost officiating. Burial will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. 

Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Mickey Corum, Aaron Corum, Trenton Corum, Jason Stotts, Tucker Berry and Christopher Mootrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Berry and Brenton Wininger. 

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church of Gods Grace in care of the funeral home.
