(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mr. Gilbert Ivan Spears, 86, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at his residence.
Gilbert entered this life on June 10, 1936, in Anderson, Missouri, son of the late Leonard and Hattie (Kinslow) Spears. He resided in California for several years before retuning home to Anderson in 19--. Gilbert worked as a union pipefitter throughout his life, traveling the country working on various pipelines.
He loved horses and his daily trips to Oriental House in Neosho. Gilbert was a Veteran of the National Guard. Gilbert loved the Lord with all his heart and he is now residing with his heavenly family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Betsy Danner and Daniel Spears; and two sisters, Marty and Peggy.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Nancy Spears of the home, whom he married on February 24, 1978; three children, Randy Paulson, Gilbert Paulson and Angela Spears; five grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, Ted Spears; two sisters, Terri Burns and Kerry Durham; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Cecil Hall officiating.
