(From Parker Mortuary)Cynthia Diane (Lankford) Mingo, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Cynthia was born January 11, 1954 in Springfield, Illinois, and grew up in several locations following her father’s Minister career. She moved to Joplin in 1972, after she had graduated from Frazee High School in Frazee, MN.
She worked for some time with the Computer Patch before beginning her career as a meat cutter with Dillon’s Grocery Store, and finally retiring from Food-4-Less in Joplin. She remained a Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed following her nephew’s football activities through high school and college.
Cynthia married Bobby Joe Mingo in March of 1999, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her father, Dean Lankford and a sister, Carmen Lankford.

Survivors include her mother, Janet Lankford, brother, Timothy Lankford both of Joplin, and a sister, Cristine D. Veith and husband Jim of Stotts City, MO; four nieces and a nephew.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Cindy and Bobby Joe were friends of mine and I will miss her,I didn't know she had passed away ,May God bless her and her family .
