(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Freda Alderman, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Freda is survived by her four sons, one daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Alderman.
Freda met the hard-working man Glenn at only seventeen years of age. They fell in love and got married. They bought a house together not too long after and had lived in it together ever since for sixty-three years.
Freda loved making cakes for the whole family on any given day, making everyone feel loved.
Not only being devoted to her thirty-six grandchildren, but she was also a nurse’s aide and enjoyed helping others. Freda then moved on to work at Sears for thirty-one years until retirement. Freda then spent her time teaching and loving all her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Mason-Woodard Chapel Thursday the 13th of April from 6-7 pm.
A funeral service will be at the Mason-Woodard Chapel Friday the 14th of April at 2 pm with a burial following the service at Osborne Memorial Cemetery
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory, Joplin, Missouri.
