Glenn Watkins

Glenn Dale Watkins, age 79, passed away peacefully at 8:59 pm, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home in Riverton, KS.

Glenn was born November 9, 1943 in Galena, KS to Bill and Lorene (Frazier)Watkins.

He attended school in Galena. He then worked at Moncrief's Greenhouse for over 40 years, before working in the warehouse at Target for 10 years.

Glenn loved to bowl, and was a part of many bowling leagues and organizations. He bowled in Reno, NV, Salt Lake City to Huntsville, AL, and Albuquerque, NM. He was a member of the greater Joplin Bowling Association, and the 4th Street in Joplin and Crown Lanes in Galena and Baxter Bowl in Baxter Springs, KS. Glenn even bowled two perfect 300 games, at the Crown Lanes & Bowl East.








Glenn was married to Marjorie Irene Watson on September 11, 1962, in Miami, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Brown, and his brother Wayne Watkins.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn, Jr of Riverton, KS, Randy Watkins and his wife Jolena, of Baxter Springs, KS, one daughter, Patricia Sadler, of Riverton, KS.. He was also survived by two brothers, Stanley Watkins, Moundville, MO and Donnie Watkins, Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren, Zack Watkins, Brittany Watkins and Dakota Sadler and three great-grandchildren, Archer Wood, Emberlynn Wood and Raelynn Sadler.

A visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery of Galena, KS.
