Harold Simmons

Harold Glen Simmons, age 88, of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 12, 2026.

Harold was born May 3, 1938, in Oakton, Missouri, to Woodrow and Mary Fern (McPeak) Simmons. On May 20, 1975, he married Aldine Orrilla McMurray in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they shared many years before her passing on July 11, 2025.

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as a Missouri State Water Patrol officer at Stockton Lake. His career allowed him to spend much of his time doing what he loved—being outdoors. He had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed the time he spent on the lake and in the beauty of the area he served.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Rob) Geile of Imperial, Missouri; two sons, Michael Simmons of Greenfield, Missouri, and Mark Simmons of Butler, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wally (Nora) Simmons of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Aldine; and his brother, Carrol Simmons.

Private family services will be held.
