Delores L. Howard, age 82, Joplin, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at Galena Nursing Center after an illness.
Delores was born May 12, 1934 in Joplin to the late Harry Waughtal and Bessie McMahan Waughtal and had lived in Joplin all of her life.
She worked at Safeway Bakery for over 30 years. In her spare time, Delores enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Schellack, Joplin, Becky Peska, Omaha, Nebraska; a son, Zander Howard, Joplin; a sister, Mary Day, Joplin; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Riley and Joe Howard; one brother, Floyd Renfro; and a sister, Helen Crampton.
Memorial services are planned for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
