Rosalea Nadine Martens went to meet the Lord March 23, 2017 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 15, 1919 to Earl and Louella Hamby, Carl Junction, Mo. She graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1937.
Rosalea married Raymond Sidenstricker on September 4, 1937. Of that marriage, two children were born: Gary Ray Sidenstricker March 21, 1939, and Marcia Lou Sidenstricker, November 30, 1952. Raymond passed away February 20, 1973. Marcia passed away June 20, 2015. Rosalea married Arthur Martens March 29, 1984. He passed away December 5, 2002.
Rosalea was a member of the First Christian Church of Webb City since 1955. She was active in the church and loved her church family.
Rosalea was preceded in death by two brothers, Doris and Gerald Hamby; two sisters, Geneva Garrison and Zelma Maupin, a nephew Mike Shirk, and a stepson, John Martens.
Survivors include her son, Gary, Webb City; a grandson, Kevin Sidenstricker and wife Christin, Joplin; former daughter-in-law Janette Fly and husband Jerry, Webb City; four nieces; Jeannine Landreth, Joplin; Phyllis Hombs and husband Jim, Joplin; Diane Hunley, Joplin; Janice Pauk and husband, Steve, North Carolina; two nephews; Ronnie Maupin and wife, Sue, Overland Park, Kansas; Mike Shirk; two stepdaughters; Shirley Martens, Webb City, Martha Kelly, Lufkin, Texas; a stepson, Henry Martens and wife, Debbie, Carl Junction.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. The family will be present for visitation on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Christian Church of Webb City. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
