Ingrid Carr

Ingrid Ann Alexander Carr, 58, of Frontenac, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday March 14, 2017, at Medicalodges of Columbus, Columbus, KS.

She was born July 26, 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of the late Robert Alexander and Mary Ann (Phil) Maceli. Ingrid was raised in Trussville, AL until the family moved to Frontenac, Kansas in 1973. Ingrid graduated from Frontenac High School in 1976.

In 1979, Ingrid married Greg Harry. They were married for twenty years and had three daughters. Later they divorced. When her children were in school, Ingrid was employed by Frontenac Schools as a bus driver. She was very active in the school as a cheer sponsor, PTO and many of her children’s activities. Ingrid lived for her children and grandchildren, and would travel to see them as often as possible.

Ingrid is survived by her daughters, Tiffany McFarland and her husband Bryce and Whitney Moore and her husband Sean, all of McPherson, KS and Bree Carr of Joplin, MO; her parents, Mary Ann and Phil Maceli of Pittsburg, KS; her significant other, Scott Carr of the home; four grandchildren, Brayln and Graycn McFarland, Cason and Kinlee Moore; two sisters, Heidi Boyles (Gus) and Hillary (Brian White); three brothers, Robert Alexander, Jr, Scott Maceli (Cindi Grassi), Jess Maceli (Renee) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Alexander, Sr., her grandparents, a daughter Ashley Lee Harry, and a nephew, Joshua Friskel. Ingrid was the rock of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday (March 17) at the Brenner Mortuary, with Father Thomas Stroot officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call after 12:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials be given to an educational fund for Ingrid’s daughter, Bree Carr.
