Jessie F. Brewer, age 91, of Webb City passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Spring River Christian Village.
She was born on May 15, 1925 in Kokomo, Indiana to Garfield Johnson and Mary (Brown) Johnson. Jessie worked for H & R Block in Chanute until her retirement. She then went to work at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Jessie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Carterville, loved to play the piano, paint, travel, and have family barbeques.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brewer on May 18, 1983; and an infant daughter, Geraldine Faye Brewer; siblings, Bethel Johnson, Vernon Johnson, Helen Edkins, and Meryl Johnson.
Jessie is survived by her sons, Rodney Brewer and wife Jane of Asbury, Ronald Brewer of Miami, Oklahoma, Raymond Brewer and wife Jeanne of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; sisters, Melba Dean Gardner of Auburn, California, Dorothy Plemel of Minden, Nevada; a dear friend, Cleda Murphy of Archie, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness's located at 615 South Pine, Carterville, Missouri 64835. The family would like to thank all the staff at Spring River Christian Village for the great care they gave Jessie and her family while she was living there.
