Louva Bradley

Louva J. Bradley, 89, of Diamond, MO passed away March 17, 2017 at Oak Pointe Memory Care Unit, Carthage, MO. 

Louva was born October 28, 1927 to Garner & Helen (Morgan) Smith. She married Doyle L. Bradley on May 20, 1945 in Columbus, KS. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2006. From this union, they had two sons; Jerry, born in December of 1946 and Dale, born in August of 1958. Dale preceded her in death on March 1, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Melva & Gene Turner, and brother-in-law Ken Tucker.

Louva spent her life as farmer’s wife, always cooking, cleaning, canning, & gardening. She was a charter member of the Friendly Neighbors Club and a life-long member of the Diamond Christian Church. 

Louva is survived by her son Jerry, and wife Becky Bradley, Diamond, MO. Daughter-in-law, Debby Bradley, Carthage, MO. Grandchildren; Brenda (Steve) Schmitt, Diamond; Doug (Kayla) Bradley, Joplin; Brian Bradley (Brandy Tran & Son Isaac), Joplin; Ronnie Bradley (Lisa McAllister & daughters Ally & Nicki), Liberty, MO; Andy (Ashley) Bradley Carthage; Alicia (Kyle) Ogle, Cassville; & Amy Bradley (Bryce Ogle), Sarcoxie, MO. Great-Grandchildren; Katie (Garrett) Tyson, Spfd.; Adam Schmitt (Nikki Rodecap & daughter Presley) Kansas City, MO; Bobbie Bradley, Joplin; Sara (John) Leach, Diamond; Lauren Bradley, Diamond; Austin Singleton (Tiffini Reding), Virginia Beach, VA; Brooklynn Bradley (Skyler Duncan), Webb City; Ashlyn Bradley, Sprinfield.; Tanner Singleton, Joplin; Brianna, Hailey, & Hannah Bradley, Joplin; Courtney Bradley, Liberty; Amber Sanders, Carthage; & Kara Ogle, Cassville. Great-Great Grandchildren; Charlie & Lleyton Tyson, Spfd. MO & Carter & Ellie Leach, Diamond. Sister; Mary Tucker, Joplin. Uncle; Darwin Morgan, Diamond and several cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Funeral service will be held March 22nd at 10:00am at the Diamond Christian Church with Mike Whorlow, Minister officiating. Burial will be in Diamond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Doug, Brian, Ronnie, Andy, Steve, & nephew G. L. Tucker. 

Jerry & Becky and their family would like to thank all the staff at Oak Pointe Assisted Living. Words cannot express our appreciation for treating Mom (Nannie,) with the utmost care, compassion, love & dignity, till the end. A special thank you to the staff at Mercy Hospital, Joplin & Avalon Hospice, Carthage, for bringing comfort to Louva & her family during the end of her life.
