Robert Allen Johnson, Sr., age 83 of Neck City passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mount Vernon.
He was born on April 25, 1933 in Sacramento, California to Sidney L. Johnson and Winifred P. (Lawrence) Johnson. Robert was a conductor on the railroad for over 40 years, and a United States Marine Corp Veteran having served in the Korean War where he received a purple heart. He was an avid fisherman when he was able to, fishing at every chance he could get.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Johnson of Neck City; daughter, Cosetta Cox of Purcell; sons, Robert Allen Johnson, Jr. of Arkansas, Gary Johnson of California; step-daughter, Cheryl Ann Fiorio of Joplin; brother, David Chuculate of Salem, Oregon; a sister, Sharon York of Sparks, Nevada; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
