Gullela Mae West, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 07, 2017. Gullela was born in Hiwasse, Arkansas on November 23, 1919 to Robert Lee and Elsie Mae (Ross) Roughton. She had resided in Neosho since 1963 and was co-owner of the West Donut Shop on East Spring St. in Neosho for 22 years, retiring in 1985. She loved to travel, dance, being outside and gospel music and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Gullela and Charles West were married on Feb. 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1972. Gullela is survived by two daughters, Carol Cooper (Ronnie) of Seneca, MO, and Donna (Keith) Yeager of Webb City, Mo, two sons, Ronald (De Ann) West of Goodman, and Ross West of Anderson, MO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Shockley and son, Bobby West.
Services will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Friday, March 10, 2017at 10 am, Dr. Jason Abbott will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
