Michael Dean Patterson, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital.
Michael was born November 19, 1947, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, son of the late Jarrell Dean Patterson and Vera Evelyn May Patterson. He grew up and attended school in Socorro, New Mexico, and served in the United States Army. He worked in Computer Information Technology all of his adult life, working for several companies in New Mexico. He retired and moved to Joplin in 2005.
Michael leaves behind his family, Lisa Jenkins of Joplin, Becky Jo Press of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Melissa Howard of Yelm, Washington, and Mikeal Segotta of Ocean Shores, Washington, Jo May of Arizona, and several other family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
His ashes will be inurned at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
