Lois Mackey

Lois Lucille Constant Mackey, daughter of Amos and Iva Constant, was born on April 19, 1921 in Vici, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 26, 2017 at the age of 95 in Neosho, MO.

Her family lived in the Moscow flats where Lois started to school at age 5. They later moved to Mooreland, OK where she graduated from high school in 1938. After graduation she attended Hills Business University in Oklahoma City. After graduation she returned to Vici to live and worked in Woodward for Goetzinger Abstract Co., Walther Thomas, Atty, and was the first office employee of Northwestern Rural Electric Co. Lois worked there for almost 30 years, retiring in 1985.

On June 29, 1940 she married Ellis Mackey in Seiling, OK. To this union two children were born, Lowell Eldon Mackey and Paula Kay Mackey Breisch. In 1954 the family moved to a farm SW of Woodward. Lois was active in the Senior Center as a quilter and a member of Crown Heights Baptist Church, were she played the organ. Lois remained on the farm after the death of Ellis in 1995 and until 2010 when she moved to Neosho, MO to an assisted living facility.

Lois is survived by son, Lowell and wife, Christina, of Neosho, MO, and daughter, Paula, of Sand Springs, OK. Four Grandchildren, Garrett Mackey and wife, Heather, of Neosho, MO; Dustin Mackey and Kathy of Buchannan, TN; Robert Breisch and wife, Stephanie, of Stillwater, OK; and Elisabeth Breisch Lord and husband, Jeff, of Jenks, OK. Five great grandchildren; Miles, Kelsey and Carter Mackey of Neosho, MO and Destiny and Gavin Breisch Davis of Jenks, OK


The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
