Verna June ‘Mickey’ Paul entered into rest on March 15, 2017 at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson at the age of 87, following a lengthy illness.
Mickey was born June 14, 1929 in Lincoln, NE, the daughter of Gordon and Aletha M. (Keys) McKinney. She worked as a trust officer at the Lincoln Nebraska Bank for many years and moved to the McDonald County area in 1976. She raised horses and enjoyed being with children at church and teaching. She was a member of the Goodman First Baptist Church.
Mickey married Kenneth Paul and he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1994. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gordon. Mickey is survived by numerous extended family member and special friends, Virginia Shelton of Goodman and Vicki Keeler of Neosho.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1 pm at the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, Missouri, Pastor Reese Morrow and Pastor Aaron Weibel will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Monday from 9 am until noon. Contributions in memory of Mickey may be made to the Goodman First Baptist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
