Ron Kegerries

Ronald B. Kegerries, Sr., age 87 of Carl Junction passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home. 

He was born on June 4, 1929 in Butler, Missouri to Raymond Kegerries and Estella Mae (Keene) Kegerries. Ron was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He worked for Green Yates from 1960 to 1971 when he left to start his own business by the name of Ron's TV in Carl Junction. Ron owned and operated his business until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Carl Junction Christian Church where he was an Elder and an ordained minister.

 Ron married Margaret (Walters) Kegerries on December 22, 1951 in Butler, Missouri and they just celebrated 65 years of marriage; and she survives him at their home. He is also survived by his sons, Ron Kegerries, Jr. and wife Toni of Joplin, Randy Kegerries and wife Vickie of Carl Junction; 5 grandchildren, Tamara Kennedy and husband David of Neosho, Ron Kegerries, III. And wife Shannon of Logan, Utah, April Beck and husband Nathan of Farmington, Arkansas, Megan Buzard and husband Chandler of Girard, Kansas, Samantha McFarland and husband Ryan of Seneca, Missouri; 12 great grandchildren, Brandon Parrish and wife Leticia, Ashlynn Harris, Micah Yocum, Claire Kegerries, Owen Kegerries, Blaine Chambers, Brett Chambers, Bruin Beck, Carter Buzard, Rylynn McFarland, Skylar McFarland, Reese McFarland; 1 great great grandchild, Wilder Parrish; siblings, Marietta White of Kansas City, Missouri, Louise Hafner of Kansas City, Missouri, Wayne Kegerries of Eldorado, Missouri, Cathy Brunk of Texas, Brenda Hughes of Parsons, Kansas, Debbie Allen of Nevada, Missouri, Sandy McGatha of Eldorado, Missouri. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 siblings, Travis Kegerries, Jimmie Kegerries, and Bobby Kegerries. 

The family will have memorial services on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Carl Junction Christian Church with visitation to immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Oxford Hospice in his memory.
