Joan Marie Myers, 83, Joplin, died March 12, 2017 at the University of Kansas Hospital.
She was born August 31, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Leora (Peters) Yates. She was a homemaker and member of Duenweg Assembly of God.
Joan married John C. Myers on July 21, 1953 in Anderson, Missouri and he preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by two brothers, Bob Yates and Charles Yates; four sisters, Mary Parks, Alice Hackworth, Helen Kelley and Linda Farrell; two nephews, Stephen Farrell and wife, Tori and Billy Farrell and six great nephews and nieces, Alex, Eric, Genevieve, Tyler, Javelin and Brandon.
Services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. Interment will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
