Bill Costley

William Ray "Bill" Costley, age 90, of Carl Junction, MO passed away
Thursday, July 9, 2020. Bill was born December 12, 1929 in Monett, MO. Shortly afterward the family moved to the Carl Junction area where he continued to reside.

Bill worked at Eagle Picher 44 years. After retiring from Eagle Picher he owned and operated his own trucking business for several years. He was a hard worker and loved to travel. Bill loved his family, his friends and his farm, and kept busy helping others. A very important part of his life was the pleasure and joy of attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.

On October 8, 1955 he married Norma (Kirby) Costley. To this union one son was born. Together, Bill and Norma shared 64+ years of marriage. 








Bill is survived by his wife, Norma, of the home; their son, David and wife, Tracy, of Carl Junction; their granddaughter, Taylor, and fiancée, Patrick Lippitt of Tulsa, OK; their grandson, Justin, and fiancée, Caroline Truong of Denver, CO, two sisters, Earline Carnes of Stafford, KS and Sue Fredrickson of Webb City, several nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Leota (Johnson) Costley, a sister, Paula Dill; two brothers, Roland Costley and Ralph Costley.Friends and family may come by Simpson Funeral Home in Carl Junction on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM for viewing. The family will be present to visit with from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. 

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Carl Junction Cemetery with Randy Steele and Bob Simon officiating.
