Lucretia Rumetsch

Lucretia Y Rumetsch, 76, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest July 4, 2020 at Carthage Health and Rehab after a long illness.

Lucretia Yolette Steinmetz was born June 22, 1944 in Ottawa County, OK the daughter of Ralph and Bessie (Cunningham) Steinmetz. Lucretia lived in the four-state area most of her life. She went to Fairland High School. She formerly worked for the former Talbot Industries in Neosho, MO. She also worked as guest transport driver for the former Bordertown Casino in Seneca. 

Her life revolved around music and her family. She loved singing and playing her guitar making big dinners for her family and watching the buckeye fight following the dinner. She loved to garden and every summer her counter tops would be full of what she harvested. All her children knew that she always had their back. Lucretia loved people and loved to visit telling a good story. She was of the Baptist Faith and was formerly a member of Belfast Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for several years. 

Lucretia Yolette Steinmetz married Max Herrel in 1960 he survives; She then married Marvin Blevins in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1993. She then married Richard Rumetsch in 1994 and he survives.








Additional survivors include her children; Max Eugene Herrel Jr. and wife Debbie, Fairland, OK, Kandi Jo Smith and husband Tracy, Neosho, MO, Ralph Dale Blevins and wife Kim, Neosho, MO, Darren Lee Blevins and wife Dannie, Seneca, MO, step-sons Charles Rumetsch, and Mark Rumetsch both of Joplin, MO; step-daughter Delaina Waite, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Lucretia was preceded in death by her parents and one son Douglas Duane Blevins. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Council House Cemetery, South of Wyandotte, OK with Charles Whitekiller officiating.
