Betty Hall passed away November 16, 2016 in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, August 19, 1924 to Arthur and Georgia Langworthy. Betty graduated from Northeast High School, and married Kenneth Clayton Sr. in 1942. They raised three boys and three girls in Overland Park, KS.
In June, 1968 Betty married Rev C. Vincent Hall and moved to Boulder, Colorado. She worked for Storage Tech. When Rev Hall was transferred to Billings, Montana, Betty completed a Psychology degree at Eastern Montana College. Rev Hall and Betty returned to Boulder for a short time and retired in Lamar, MO for twenty-four years. Betty was active in Eastern Star and served as a Worthy Matron.
She moved to Lee’s Summit, MO and was very active in the Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church. Betty proudly contributed to the Building Fund for the new church, but did not live long enough to see it dedicated. Betty loved to read, sew and quilt. Up to the age of ninety-one, she made and hand-quilted bedcovers for all her children and almost all her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Ernest Little; husband Rev Hall; sister Josephine Morgan; sister Beverly Robinson; and son Ken Clayton Jr. Survivors include Bruce and Jane Clayton; Nancy and Mike Windes; Carolyn and Ken Chick; Georgia and Brent Fogle; Mark Clayton; Olivia Oaks; sister Georgia Arnold; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2016, 10:00 AM at the Konantz-Warden Funeral Home, 1301 Gulf St, Lamar, MO 64759. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM, Memory Gardens, 901 E 19 St, Lamar, MO. A memorial service will be conducted at the Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church on December 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
