She attended rural schools throughout Southwest Missouri and graduated from Cassville High School in 1947. In 1953, she married Joseph Allen Preddy in Cassville, Missouri, where she resided the remainder of her life.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Allene Cook and Madge Bonvicin and a brother, Buford who died as an infant. Her husband Joe passed away in 2014. She delivered Meals on Wheels from 1974 to 2009 when her health kept her from the regular route.
As a member of the First Baptist Church of Cassville she attended services regularly. Joe was a Methodist and Frances was loyal to the Cassville United Methodist Church as well, serving as Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member for years. Frances and Joe attended both churches faithfully.
Besides her family the joy in her life was singing. She was a member of the Stamps Melody Girls Quartet and the Treble Tones Sextet. Frances sang solos in Church and for a multitude of weddings and funerals. Her idea of a great time was going to a Sundown to Sun-Up Gospel Singing.
