Billie Francis French age 86 of Joplin, Mo passed away Monday November 21, 2016 at the National Health Care Nursing Home Joplin, Mo.
She was born on February 27, 1930 in Joplin, Mo the daughter of Sylvia Jones. Billie attended Joplin school growing up. She married Albert French on November 30, 1946 in Joplin, Mo. Together they were ordained Pentecostal Ministers and served on several mission trips together, he preceded her in death on July 15, 1980. She earned her Missionettes Leadership Certificate and served with Women’s Ministries Department for several years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Joplin and later led church service at Messenger Tower.
She was also preceded in death by her mom, two sons: Phillip and Bill French, a daughter Nancy Derrick, two sisters: Norma Sadler and Betty Wilson. She is survived by a son Charles French and wife Tassnee of Thailand, a brother Tommy Jones of Joplin, Mo, two sisters: Joan McMullen-Thompson and husband Tommy of Joplin, Mo and Evelyn Allen of Kansas City, Mo, Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Pm Wednesday November 30, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory with Boyd Crook officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to service time at the Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Messenger Tower the Touch of the Masters Hand. In care of the mortuary.
