Patty Ann Keys, age 82, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Park Meadows in Kansas City, Kansas.
Patty was born January 29, 1934 in Grand Island, Nebraska, daughter of the late John and Edna Nelson. She attended Joplin Schools and graduated from Joplin High School in 1952. She then attended Cottey College before graduated from Joplin Business College. Patty worked for First National Bank, Newman's Department Store, J.C. Penney, and Tri-State Motor. She was a member of First Community Church, and a very active volunteer for St. John's Hospital. She was a former member of St. John's R.S.V.P., Credit Women's Organization, Ladies of the Shrine Club, Ladies Elks, Silver Hair Legislative, Women's Club of Joplin, Joplin Credit Women's Organization, Ruth Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Joplin Business Women.
Patty enjoyed playing bridge with friends, (four times a week), bowling, and was a talented seamstress who was known for her doll clothing, and making outfits for the Ladies Elk's Christmas Program.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Inurnment of her ashes will be at a later date in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
