Elvin “Skip” Vincent, 80, passed away November 11, 2016 at his home in Carthage. Skip was born April 14, 1936 in Barton County Missouri to Elmer and Bessie (Simmons) Vincent. He was a lifetime Carthage resident. He was a musician and owned and operated Skip's Music Shop in Carthage, Missouri.
Skip is survived by one sister Jeanetta Green of Henry, Illlinois, seven daughters Jeannie Kiecker of Joplin, MO, Anessia Wilmoth of Miami, OK, Natalie Patrick of Carthage, Kay Livingston of San Cruz, CA, Yolanda Espanosa of San Antonio, TX, Carmen Rudasill of Joplin, MO and Lynette Espanosa of San Antonio TX, four sons Doug Vincent of Joplin, MO, Dennis Vincent of Miami, OK, Greg Vincent of Diamond, MO and Mike Vincent of Joplin, MO, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Skip is also survived by a very special friend Melvadean McKnight.
Skip is preceded by his parents, one daughter Debbie Martin, three sons John Vincent, Randy Vincent, Darius Vincent, and four sisters Dorothy Montgomery, Ruth McCoy, Betty Welch, Edith McDaniel, two grandchildren Sheana Lea Vincent, and Randy Vincent Jr.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
