Linda L. Franklin, age 61, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital following a heart attack.
Linda was born August 23, 1955, in Clay County, Missouri, to Woodford and Wanda (White) Williams. After graduating from Liberal High School in 1973, she earned a CNA certificate and worked in several nursing homes and as a private duty caregiver over the years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and nurtured her family as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
On November 2, 1993, at Lamar, Linda married Keith Franklin and he survives, of the home. Also surviving are two sons, Scott (Jessica) Rodifer, Lamar, and Frank (Alysha) Parker, Jr., Fort Scott; three daughters, Brandy (Travis) Kirch, Liberal, Stephanie (Nick) Gruver, Pittsburg, Kansas, and Stacy Rodifer, Lamar; a brother, David (Anne) Williams, Lamar; two sisters, Pat (Charles) Burr, Lamar and Nita (Mike) Boyd, Naphalie, Virginia; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded by her parents; a brother, Steve Williams; and a grandson, Noah Leivan.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19th at Oakton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakton Cemetery at a later date.
