James Gerald Stover, age 76 passed away Monday morning Nov 14, 2016 at his home following an illness.
Mr Stover was born Jan 19, 1940 in Joplin, MO. His parents were James Franklin and Juanita (Walker) Stover. He had lived in Galena for 50 years.
He was a roofer by trade. He was a veteran of the U S Navy. His favorite pastime was fishing. He was a member of the Spring Grove Apostolic Faith Church, Galena.
James was married to Katherine Sue Smith on July 9, 1959. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Jamie Stover (wife, Debra), Galena, and Mark Stover (wife, Charlease), Galena; three daughters, Rose Taylor (husband, William) Galena, Tabatha Littig (husband, Chris) Webb City, MO, and Carma Fultz, Galena; one brother, Tom Megela, Wichita, KS; 27 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
James was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Spring Grove Apostolic Faith Church Galena. Pastor Clem Moore will officiate.
