Cheryl Cordell, 74, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Villa Marie Nursing Home in Jefferson City, MO. Cheryl was born April 9, 1944 in Joplin to George and Normagene “Barker” Cordell. She was a Carthage resident for most of her life and was employed as a secretary for Myers, Baker, Rife & Denham CPA. Cheryl was a member of the First Christian Church in Carthage.
Cheryl is survived by four daughters, Kari Newell (Garry) of Lebanon, Christi Thetford (Loren) of Woodland Park, CO, Karen Davis (Chuck) of Carthage and Sharon Jones (Jim) of Seneca ; two step-daughters, Sherri White of Shawnee, OK and Carol Wakefield (David) of Guthrie, OK; one step-son, James White of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Larry Cordell of Boise, ID and George Cordell IV of Carthage; 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Skyler, Ethan, Spencer, Cody, Ashley, Amber, Chayse, Morgan, Justin, Payton, Garrett and Addyson.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Randy Cordell, and one sister, Judy Ware.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.
